Seismic and vibration
What you need
Transmission and distribution systems need to be able to work in any type of environmental situations even, in some circumstances with significant vibrations (railway sector or transportations) or in the presence of a seism. To verify the efficiency of any measure taken, CESI makes available to its Clients the Laboratory of Structural Tests (LPS) equipped for a wide range of experimental activities (static or dynamic), also available to be carried out directly on site.
What we do
The laboratory is characterized by the flexibility of its equipment, formed by stationary facilities for standard type tests (vibration and impact tests on shaking table, tests with forced excitation on civil structures, qualification tests on supports for bridges and seismic isolators) and by a set of auxiliary equipments to satisfy any Client's need (fatigue tests, maximum acceptable stress tests, audits in support to the design process, etc.).
Why CESI
Seismic and vibration tests are requested mostly for railway and nuclear sectors. CESI is carrying out these tests since more than 40 years and the accumulated experience is widely appreciated by our Clients as an important added value The Laboratory of Structural Tests (LPS) is equipped with data acquisition and analysis systems and with a large variety of transducers such as accelerometers, seismometers, displacement, force, pressure, strain gauges. Furthermore are available mobile laboratories fully equipped for on site diagnostic services.
