Client Challenge

Rio Madeira project is one of the biggest transmission project in the world, delivering 6300MW along the Porto Velho and Araracoara stations (2300 km). The Client asked CESI to provide expertise and technical assistance to HVDC link owner under the different project phases.

What we've done

• Phase 1: to review all the studies necessary for the final design of the converter station
• Phase 2: the Quality Assurance of the main component
• Phase 3: the assistance during the topic activities of the converters station commissioning and during the development of the link performance tests (as DC and AC harmonic measurement, Radio Interference verification, audible noise verification, rating of power transmission).
