Energy storage like battery technologies, superconducting magnetic energy, capacitors, compressed air and pumped storage, seems to be an alternative method that the operator of an electrical power grid can use to adapt energy production to energy consumption, both of which can vary randomly over time.
Renewables also help the electric power industry maintain a diverse fuel mix for electricity generation. Fuel diversity helps to ensure reliable, affordable electricity for our nation's households and businesses.
CESI is one of the European technological leaders in world energy project development and analysis, wind resource assessments, financial risks of offshore wind development, grid interconnection and integration, and due diligence activities.
Concerning solar application, CESI is involved both in consultancy and Owner Engineering activities and in the Manufacture of Special Solar Cells for Space and Terrestrial Application (in particular for concentrated solar power technology) with the InGaP (Indium Gallium Phosphide) and GaAs (gallium arsenide) technologies.
