Development of Network Analysis tools
Project data
Client Challenge
TERNA (the Italian Transmission System Operator) actuated a specific initiative, named Security Plan, with the aim to revise and modernize network control procedures and analysis tools.
What we've done
CESI was committed to design and develop:
A) The New Security Analysis and Optimization Tools (CRESO), to provide an
integrated and flexible suite for network computation, usable in on-line and offline
configuration, for D-1 and real-time static analysis. It is an integrated software
system, developed by using of state-of-art SW solutions.
B) The New Interactive Dynamic Simulations of Electrical Networks Behavior (SICRE),
a power system simulator covering different time-scale phenomena and modeling
levels (grids, units, control systems and protections). The adoption of updated
models and algorithms allows SICRE to be a highly sophisticated and friendly tool
that makes very easy to investigate and understand the dynamic behavior of large
power systems.
