Client Challenge

A feasibility study and technical-economic analysis for the HVDC interconnection between Saudi Arabia and Yemen through an HVDC link (BtB with AC lines or conventional HVDC with DC lines).

What we've done

• Data collection and analysis
• Preliminary simplified screening study to assess possible location of converter stations and AC or DC lines routes in terms of:
• Detailed analysis of the selected solution
• Definition of the functional specifications of the converter stations and of the AC or DC lines
• Routing of the AC or DC line
