Period
2007-Ongoing
Client Challenge
A feasibility study for the overhead transmission line in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) monopolar with metallic return, among the substations Cerromatoso (Colombia) and Panama II (Panama), with an initially capacity, First Stage, of 300 MW (monopole with metallic return).
What we've done
The technical assistance:
- Revision, analysis, and complementation of the electric studies of system planning, elaborated by ISA and ETESA.
- Detail electric studies
- Definition of the budget of the Project.
- Pre-design of the Panama II and Cerromatoso converter stations, integrated to the existent electric systems in both countries and the transmission line in HVDC (specification studies of the isolated submarine cable and technology transfer for ISA and ETESA)
