Client Challenge
The European Commission wanted to begin the assessment of the present status of the cross-border infrastructures in the Baltic region, the generation endowment and the power market structure. Definition of the Market Design for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, integrated with the Nord Pool market (power market of Scandinavia and Finland).
What we've done
Identification of the present market barriers and outline of a roadmap towards the Baltic integrated power market. Assessment of the new interconnection projects: qualitative and quantitative justifications based on a series of agreed criteria.
